Climate Change - Call for Scientific Evidence 2020

We want to hear from any individual or organisation able to submit scientific, academic or technical evidence to inform our approach to tackling the climate change emergency. Our goal is to make Newcastle-upon-Tyne carbon-neutral by 2030. Find out more here:

This is the first stage of our Call for Evidence about climate change and Newcastle upon Tyne. Findings from it will be published here and on our website, where you can also find more background information about our plans: Newcastle City Climate Change

You can view our plans here:

We would like to hear from you about:

  • Any scientific, academic or technical submissions that can inform the Committee’s learning and conclusions;
  • Evidence of proven, best-practice approaches;
  • Ideas for large-scale projects, initiatives and investment that could be delivered in the medium-long-term.

You can submit your evidence by:

  • Completing this short form
  • If you wish to send documents to us, you can email us at: climatechange@newcastle.gov.uk

If you have questions about this, or you need this information in a different format (such as large print), please contact us at: climatechange@newcastle.gov.uk

Please note: if you are not submitting scientific, technical or academic evidence, please take part in this call for evidence using this form: Hearing from everyone about climate change

Please let us know what you think by 31 January 2020. Thank you for giving us your views.
