Public Space Protection Order 2020

Newcastle City Council is consulting on a proposed Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) in relation to consuming alcohol in public places and requirements relating to persons with dogs. The Council has the power to introduce a PSPO by virtue of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 (the ‘Act’). The proposed area covered by this PSPO would be the full Newcastle local authority area, as shown in the picture:
