It is proposed to -
1. introduce a prohibition of driving of motor vehicles restriction on a section of Wellington Street (pedal cycles are exempt)
2. introduce pay and display parking on sections of Abinger Street, Buckingham Street, Cottenham Street, Diana Street, Douglas Terrace, Pitt Street, Spring Street and Wellington Street. Parking will be for a maximum period of 4 hours, no return for 6 hours and the charge will be 70p per hour (except for permit holders). The is will replace the existing free 4 hour time limited waiting which currently operates in these parking places.
3. amend the eligible properties listed for permits on Buckingham Street and make other minor alterations to the legal orders which are administrative and will not affect the situation on the ground.
Details are contained in the Notice which is attached in the supporting documents below. A plan, draft orders and the reasons for the proposals are also attached below.
