Residential Care Fee Setting 2018

Posted on 09/02/2018 at 16:59

We're consulting with providers of older people's residential care to establish a Commissioning Framework and fee rates for this service in Newcastle for financial years 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21 & 2021/22.

The purpose of the consultation is to:

  • seek feedback about whether providers broadly agree with each of the principles we have used to arrive at the proposed fees; and whether there are any additional factors that need to be considered.
  • understand providers’ views on the likely impact of the proposed fees on the financial viability of their care home
  • understand the views of providers and voluntary sector stakeholders on the likely impact of the proposals on residents.
