Sustainable Communities - Housing Development SPD 2016 - This consultation has now ended

We want to hear your views on our draft planning guidance that aims to control housing development across the city to help create sustainable communities. This new guidance acknowledges the increase in demand in the student housing market, with the number of full-time students in Newcastle growing by 68% from 25,271 in 2000 to 42,565 in 2014. Demand for purpose-built student accommodation has also seen a significant increase. Here's Cllr Ged Bell discussing this:
