Review and deletion of Intensive Family Intervention Team 2024/2025 - This consultation has now ended

We want to hear your views on this budget proposal for 2024-2025.

What we would like you to do
Over the next year, the Council will need to make tough decisions to balance next year’s budget due to Government cuts, inflation and increasing demand for services such as social care as more residents require support. This short survey is to help us find out what you think about our proposal to review and deletion of the Intensive Family Intervention Team in 2024-2025. Here's a summary of what we propose:
"We propose to review and delete the Intensive Family Intervention Team in 2024-2025. This service works with families where a child or children are at risk of being admitted into local authority care; families who are in crisis and there is a risk of care, and children who are already in local authority care whose placement is at risk of breakdown and/or there is a plan for a child in care to be reunified to their family. Recently an audit of the service was completed, and did not find any evidence of IFIT having a sustainable impact. This will result in savings of £447,890."
We are consulting on all our proposals between 30 November 2023 and 17 January 2024.
