Local Priorities in Newcastle's Wards 2024

Newcastle City Council serves over 300,000 residents and provides more than 800 services to our communities including social care for adults and children, waste collection, street cleansing, planning, public health, housing, highways management, libraries and museums. We are committed to ensuring these services meet the needs of our residents and communities.
What we are doing
The council is composed of 78 councillors who are democratically elected and accountable to residents. Councillors work with local people and partners, such as community groups, businesses and local organisations to agree and deliver on local priorities. Their decisions are implemented by council officers, who deliver services to the city on a daily basis.
Each year, locally elected Ward Councillors can host an annual ward meeting to meet with residents, share information about local activities and services and talk about local priorities. To find out about local meetings near you visit our website. If you have missed this year's meeting you will be able to see information on what was discussed and local priorities.
What we would like you to do
To help your ward councillors and Newcastle City Council understand what matters to people within their neighbourhood we are asking residents from across the city to tell us about their local priorities. The information collected will tell us what is good about a place and what could be better and allow you to tell us what is most important to you. You can complete the survey in the box below, or if you want to complete it in a separate tab or window, please use this link:

Local Priorities In Newcastle's Wards - Your Views

Your views matter to us and we are keen to hear from as many residents as possible so we are collecting information on local priorities throughout the year, so please complete this survey whether you are able to join us at the meeting or not, as hearing your views will help us improve how we work in communities.
If you have questions, or you need this information in a different format such as large print, you can email us at: letstalk@newcastle.gov.uk or call: 0191 278 7878.
