Tell us what you think about young people’s sexual health services 2025

Newcastle City Council is reviewing sexual health services for young people as part of a recommissioning process, and we want to understand what’s working well, what could be better, and how we can improve services in the future to make sure they meet the needs of young people in Newcastle.

Newcastle City Council is reviewing young people’s sexual health services. These services are free and confidential. They support young people to make informed choices about relationships, growing up, and staying healthy.
The service currently offers:
  • Advice and support
  • STI and HIV testing (including DIY kits)
  • Pregnancy testing and support
  • Free condoms through the C-Card scheme
  • Help with things like consent, self-esteem, and healthy relationships
  • Peer mentoring and outreach
We want to hear from young people and professionals working in the youth sector about:
  • What works well
  • What could be improved
  • How we can make services better for the future
Your feedback will help us make sure sexual health services in Newcastle meet the needs of young people.
What we would like you to do:
We have created three short surveys as part of this consultation:
  1. Young People’s Survey: for anyone aged 11-25
  2. An EasyRead version of the Young People’s Survey
  3. Professionals’ Survey: for people who work with or support young people
Choose the survey that’s right for you and fill it in. Your views are really important and will help shape the future of sexual health services in Newcastle.
If you simply want to leave a comment, please use the topic wall below.
The surveys will close on Friday 14 November 2025. The results will be published here: Let’s Talk Newcastle – Consultation Results
