Let's Talk about decent neighbourhoods in Kenton ward 2013 - This consultation has now ended

With reductions in the money available to councils we need to look again at how we can best deliver decent neighbourhoods that meet the priorities of your neighbourhood.  It’s therefore even more important that you to help us look at how we can all improve where we live.
The current Decent Neighbourhood Standards for Kenton are:
Standard  | Level of need 2012
  • Clean and tidy streets | Greater need
  • Well-maintained parks and spaces | Greater need
  • Well-lit streets | Greater need
  • Well-maintained roads and pavements | Decent standard met
  • Neighbourhoods are safe place to live in | Greater need
  • Access to appropriate childcare arrangements for parents where they are needed  | Decent standard met
  • Access to household recycling | Least need
Do you have ideas about how things could be improved where you live, how we can save money in doing this and how you can get more involved in determining what the priorities are for your neighbourhood? Please take part in our topic wall to talk about your priorities and how we can work together.
The topic wall will run from until Monday 24 June 2013. If you have any questions about Kenton Decent Neighbourhood Standards please contact Paul Whiston, Community Facilitator, paul.whiston@newcastle.gov.uk. If you have any questions about the topic wall please contact Amy Stillwell, amy.stillwell@newcastle.gov.uk, Ali Lamb Alison.lamb@newcastle.gov.uk or Shah Amin shah.amin@newcastle.gov.uk
