Newcastle City Council is exploring ways to improve Welbeck Road and make the high street a safer and a more welcoming for businesses, residents and visitors. This is your opportunity to share what matters to you and what you would like to see happen.
Initial proposals focus on the stretch of Welbeck Road between Monkchester Road and Leicester Street, where we’re looking at removing sections of guardrail and replacing them with seating, bollards and other usable street furniture to create a more accessible and welcoming space. You can see the plan HERE
