This consultation seeks views on the proposed introduction of a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) to help address behaviours that are having a detrimental impact on the quality of life of those who live in, work in, and visit the area.
The Council is committed to ensuring that public spaces remain safe, welcoming, and accessible to everyone. We recognise that a small number of individuals can, through their actions, cause nuisance, alarm, harassment, or distress to others, and that these issues can undermine community confidence and enjoyment of public places.
Before any decision is made, we are keen to hear the views of residents, businesses, community organisations, partner agencies, and other stakeholders. Your feedback will help us to understand the impact of the proposed measures and ensure that any restrictions are proportionate, necessary, and balanced with the rights of individuals to use and enjoy public spaces.
