Complaints Panel 2026-2027

Are you a Newcastle City Council housing resident? Would you like to help us make our complaints service better? The Complaints Panel gives tenants and leaseholders the chance to share their views and help improve services. The group look at complaints that have already been dealt with and talk about what we can learn from them. They also share ideas about how we can do things better in the future. By joining the panel, you can help make sure customers' voices are heard and help shape improvements for all tenants and leaseholders.

About the Group

We want to provide a good service and learn when things go wrong.

The Complaints Panel gives housing tenants and leaseholders the chance to work with us, look at complaints and help make services better.

The group meets every other month. It looks at complaints that have already been dealt with. Any personal details are removed before the complaints are shared with the group.

The panel helps us to:
  • Look at complaints and what happened
  • Talk about what we can learn from them
  • Share ideas to make things better
  • Check what action has been taken after feedback
  • Help improve services for tenants and leaseholders
  • Make sure tenant and leaseholders views are heard

People in the group can ask questions, share their ideas and hear about changes that have been made because of customer feedback.

Who is the Group For?

The Complaints Panel is open to Newcastle City Council housing tenants and leaseholders who want to help improve services. We're looking for people who:
  • Want to make a difference
  • Are happy to share their views
  • Can listen to other people's ideas
  • Enjoy working with others
  • Want to help improve services for tenants and leaseholder

The group does not look at its members' own complaints. Instead, it looks at how complaints are handled and how services can be improved for everyone.
We can provide support to help people take part. This includes information in different formats and language support if needed.
