Dear Let's talk Parks participant

On Monday July 17, the Council’s Parks Transformation Team will present their findings to the City Council’s Cabinet about the potential for a new charitable trust to manage the City’s parks and open spaces. This will include the proposed business model, and the report on the passionate public response to the recent public consultation on the future of Newcastle's parks, allotments and open spaces. Cabinet will review progress, interrogate the financial and operational implications and decide whether or not to support further work on the charitable model. If Cabinet agree, the full proposal will be worked up into a full business case and implementation plan for final Cabinet decision in October.

After Cabinet, the team will feedback to the public, in person, at five locations around the City – dates, times and venues below. The team will explain the work to date, results of the public consultation, Cabinet’s decision and next steps. The cabinet report and supporting documents can be found here.

We would appreciate it if you would spread the word to anyone that might be interested in attending and we look forward to seeing you there! Here's where the events will be held:
