Weldon Crescent Area - Proposed extension to permit parking scheme 2026

Please give us your views on our proposals relating to the Weldon Crescent area in 2026 by taking part in this short consultation.

Statutory Notice: We propose to -
(i) designate the following roads as a permit parking place between the hours of 11am to Noon and 3pm to 4pm, Monday to Friday, for H7 permit holders - 
 
Weldon Crescent Area Zone consisting of the following roads – 
·         Weldon Crescent – between Goswick Avenue and Newton Road (southern leg)
·         Holystone Crescent - between Goswick Avenue and Newton Road (southern leg)
·         Craster Terrace – full length
·         Acton Place – full length
·         Thropton Terrace – full length
·         Bilsmoor Avenue – full length
·         Plessey Terrace – full length
·         Horsley Road – full length
·         Langton Terrace – full length, and 
·         Back Stephenson Road - the eastern end.
 
(ii) designate Newton Road, between Newton Place and Horsley Road, as a permit parking place between the hours of 8am to 10am and 2pm to 4pm, Monday to Friday, for H7 permit holders,

(iii) increase in length existing no waiting at any time restrictions (double yellow lines) on three sections of Newton Road, and 
 
(iv) introduce a new no waiting at any time restriction (double yellow lines) on a section of Newton Road.
